Tata H2X Price in India, Launch Date, Images & Specs, Colours

Since the acquisition of jaguar and land rover back in 2008, Tata has paid a lot of attention to its quality. The improvement in Tata became visible with the launch and huge success of the city budget car Tata Tiago. Even now, Tata has launched a few more best sellers and managed to become an international brand. With keen attention to quality, detailing and appearance, Tata has become one of the best selling brands in the Indian automotive industry.
Tata took off the curtains from its H2X concept in the 2019 Geneva motor convention. The H2X concept features a micro-SUV that will later be renamed as hornbill. The car will be a lower version of the well known Nexon.
With the new concept, Tata is expected to introduce an all new design style. Tata H2X will be launched later in 2020.
Appearance
The car follows the ALFA architecture by Tata. The H2X concept is integrated in its impact 2.0 design philosophy of Tata. The relatively new concept will position the car just below Nexon in terms of size and overall hierarchy. The 2019 Geneva concept measures 3,840mm in length and 1,635mm in height. The car has a wheelbase of 2,450mm. The car will be a 5-seater compact SUV. The design of H2X will feature LED DRLs, slim grille, wheel arches and floating roof effects giving the car sportier, SUV-like look. The interior of the cars are expected to be entry level since the car will be priced accordingly. The main highlight of this car would be the digital instrument cluster that will be placed right beside the infotainment unit.
Engine
As far as we know, the car will only be offered in a petrol variant. The car will come with BSVI compliance and will have Tata Tiago’s 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with micro hybrid technology as the source. The car will come mated with either a 5-speed manual or 5-speed automatic transmission.
Features
The feature list has not been updated yet but we are expecting to see standard features like airbags, infotainment system, ABS with EBD, air conditioner etc. The higher variant may also get an automatic climate controller later in life. Alloy wheels may also be available as an option.
Price
The car will be priced moderately starting at Rs. 5 lakh onwards. The higher variant may cost Rs. 8 lakhs based on the feature list. The car will be launched in October 2020.
Rivals
The car will rival Mahindra KUV100, Ford Freestyle, upcoming S Concept based SUV from Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai’s upcoming micro-SUV.
