India has taken a step forward by accepting the EV technology to combat with its declining air quality. The EV will comprise of Tata’s new Ziptron EV Technology.
The car will be sold as premium SUV.
The car will consist of 300V electric motor that can deliver a range of 300km/charge.
The car will also have fast charging and will come with an 8-year warranty.
The car will have IP67 waterproof battery pack.
The car is expected to be priced at Rs. 15 lakh- Rs. 17 lakh.
The new EV by Tata will be inspired by the Nexon facelift. The car will feature some changes like, new front and rear exterior designs. The car will also come with a slimmer grille and new headlights. The car will also come with a charger that can be connected to any home or office in India. Not much has been disclosed in the public forums about this car yet but the dealerships featuring this car are given instructions to have the required infrastructure for the EV as well as trained staff.
The car is expected to go on sale between January and March of next year. The 2020 Nexon EV will also feature the company’s Ziptron EV Technology. The car will compete with upcoming Mahindra XUV300 EV which is scheduled to be launched in mid-2020. Tata is also planning to launch Tigor EV, Altroz EV and a Mystery EV in the next two years.
