Toyota Urban Cruiser Launch Date Revealed - 23rd Sep, 2020 - See Expected Price in India

Toyota will launch the Urban Cruiser on the 23rd of this month as it has just revealed today. The Urban Cruiser would be launched with only a 1.5l petrol engine which makes 105 bhp along with manual and a 4-speed auto. The 5-speed manual would be the entry point of the range but the top-end automatic will actually feature the smart hybrid feature. The Urban Cruiser also features a different styling and a newer grille along with small tweaks. Inside too there is a new interior colour instead of the all black one on the Vitara Brezza. Overall when compared to the Glanza which basically had near zero changes over the Baleno, the Urban Cruiser at least looks a bit more different.
 

Toyota Urban Cruiser Variants

Speaking of the variant line-up the Urban Cruiser would be available in three variants with even the base variant having LED projector headlamps and DRLs plus even an audio system and LED tail-lamps. The ones above get this variant get the 7inch touchscreen and cruise control plus Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, rain sensing wipers, 16 inch alloys etc.

Toyota is also offering a 3 year 1 lakh km warranty on the Urban Cruiser. We do expect prices to rise over the Vitara Brezza and with competition coming in form of the KIA Sonet also launching on September 18, it remains to be seen how much of a dent the Urban Cruiser will have on the compact SUV space.
