1. New Mahindra Thar - Launch 2 Oct, 2020 (Expected Price - Rs 12 lakh)

The most awaited new car from the Indian manufacturer is ready to be launched on 2nd of October 2020. The New Mahindra Thar has a lot of weight on its shoulder considering the popularity of its predecessor.

However, Mahindra has just made the Thar more appealing and stylish without hampering the 4x4 Thar DNA. The new SUV is more spacious with improved interior quality and good amount of comfort, safety and tech features like 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, dual airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP with some quirky design elements like roof-mounted speakers and little easter eggs on the windshield. The main highlight of the vehicle is the Automatic gearbox which we will see for the very first time on the lineup.

Looking on to the demand for affordable SUVs for daily commute, Tata will be launching the game-changing HBX micro SUV this Diwali and will be positioned below the compact SUV segment for city use. The car is likely to get compared with Maruti Suzuki Ignis, KUV 100 NXT and lower variant of compact SUVs

The HBX will be based on Tata’s AMP platform which we saw on the Altroz before. Under the hood, HBX will get a 1.2l petrol engine mated to a manual or an AMT gearbox.

Pricing of the micro-SUV will range between 5 to 9 lakhs.

4. Tata Gravitas - Launch Nov 2020 (Expected Price - Rs 15 Lakh)

Unveiled at 2020 Auto Expo, the larger version of the Harrier is called the Gravitas, a 7 seater full-size SUV from the homegrown brand.

Sharing the front look with the Harrier, it looks very much identical to it. The design language of the car is also similar but the main USP here is the third-row seating.

Talking about the feature list, the Gravitas will have a 9 speaker audio system, 8.8 inches connected infotainment system, sunroof and much more.

The Gravitas is likely to get the 2.0L Diesel engine 170 ps of power and 350 nm of torque. Pricing will be slightly higher than the Harrier starting from Rs. 15 lac.
5. Mahindra E-XUV 300 - Launch Mar 2021 (Expected Price - Rs 15 Lakh)

The electric-powered XUV 300 that was showcased on the Auto Expo 2020 is likely to come out of covers. The XUV 300 EV will be based on the MESMA architecture of Mahindra which is a great platform that houses the battery at the bottom by providing the car with a low centre of gravity and improved stability.

6. Renault Kiger - Launch Nov 2020 (Expected Price - Rs 6 Lakh)

The under 4-meter compact SUV from the French Automaker is almost ready for launch after extensive testing of the production variant.

The front look of the Kiger is similar to what we see on the facelifted Kwid, but the car is much bigger and faster than the Kwid.

Sharing the same highly localised CMF-A platform as the Renault Triber, the Kiger is expected to have a lot of interior room and a generous boot as well.

Moving ahead on the engines, the Kiger will only have petrol engine options- A naturally aspirated and a powerful Turbo-Petrol.

7. Nissan Magnite - Launch Jan 2021 (Expected Price - Rs 6 Lakh)

Nissan has recently revealed its latest compact SUV segment, a segment which is getting popular day by day. It will be the most important launch for Nissan in India in 2021.

Magnite will share its design and looks inspired by the Japanese philosophy. The interiors of the car would also have a minimalistic and bold design.

MG’s Gloster is likely to hit the Indian market somewhere around the festive season of this year. The full-sized Gloster will be a premium SUV with features like adaptive cruise control, digital instrument cluster, diamond-stitched leather upholstery, dual-tone interiors and many more.

The side profile of the car may not look as eye-catchy as its rivals but the front looks dashing with the horizontal slatted grille.

Honda has been thinking about launching the HR-V SUV below the Honda CR-V for quite some time. It has also been spotted testing on the Indian soils, the HR-V will compete with SUVs Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Tata Harrier and MG Hector

Staying true to the Honda Fashion, the front of the car sports sharp headlights & a wide chrome slab centred with the logo. Enhancing the sporty look of the HR-V are the integrated rear door handles and dual-tone alloys.

It is likely to powered by the same 1.5L BS6 petrol engine like Honda City. Coming inside the HR-V, it is likely to get an 8-inch infotainment system with connected car technology.

13. Hyundai Palisade - Launch Oct 2021 (Expected Price - Rs 40 Lakh)

Hyundai will enter the full-sized SUV market in India with the all-new Palisade. The market which is currently dominated by the Endeavour and Fortuner, the South Korean Palisade would also compete against them.

Primarily being a full-sized car, we hope it provides comfort on the third-row seats.

The 5 meters long and 2-meter wide car looks colossal and its large front grille gives the car an aggressive look. The design language of the Palisade resembles other Hyundai's like new Creta that are for sale now.
