Updated Alcazar Launch Details – Booking Open in June
2022 Hyundai Alcazar Updated Launch Details – Booking Open in June - Available with Top Variants Only
The current ongoing pandemic has halted the launch plans of many cars as we wrote some time back now with signs of lock-down being removed from states comes to the reality, some plans are being firmed up. Hyundai will now launch its 2022 Alcazar by mid of next month along with the price details. The unofficial pre-booking have already started online and at select dealers. The vehicle will be on display at the Hyundai showroom with delivery of Alcazar expected to start by June end.
As you know the Alcazar is based on the Creta but as our first drive pointed out, it is more than a Creta too. It is a three row SUV and the standard version will have a bench 7-seater lay-out while the top-end will have a 6-seater layout with captain seats. The Alcazar would be more premium than the Creta with more features aimed at the rear seat passenger over and above the features you get in the top-end Creta. Hence the rear captain seat passenger gets wireless charging and cup holders plus more. The Alcazar is also quite different from the Creta with its own rear quarter glass and refreshed tail-lamp. Plus it gets bigger wheels and more chrome. It also gets a 2.0 petrol and a 1.5l diesel. However, unlike the Creta which has a big range in terms of price and variants the Alcazar would mostly be available with top-end trims only since customers at this price will go for the fully loaded models mostly. It will compete with the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus and the upcoming Mahindra XUV700 while prices would be significantly higher than the current Creta since there is no entry level variant with a lesser engine. Hyundai has also geared up to meet the demand since currently the Creta has a waiting list and the Alcazar will also add to more demand. The Alcazar would be priced below the Hyundai Tucson in India currently.
