Updated Toyota Fortuner Global Unveil on 4 June 2020
With the lockdown slowly getting some relief and as we move slowly to get back into action, the automotive industry is also expected to gain momentum. Hence, the month of June would most likely see new car launches and unveils. One such example is the updated version of the Toyota Fortuner, which will be globally unveiled on the 4th of June 2020 in Thailand. Here at MyNewCar.in, we get to you all the details which are expected in the upcoming Toyota Fortuner.
Right from 2019, many spy shots of the updated Fortuner have been floating all over the internet. With reference to these images we get to know some details on the aesthetics and design of this SUV. Toyota will be bringing in a facelift for the Fortuner with an all-new front bumper, new grille, redesigned bonnet and a restyled headlamp unit. Coming to the side profile, we can say that the SUV will run on newly designed 17-inch alloy wheels. At the rear end, it will also get a restyled LED tail lamp unit along with some subtle changes such as a redesigned rear bumper.
As of now the interior of the upcoming Toyota Fortuner hasn’t been spied, but it can be said that just like the updates on the exterior, even the cabin will be tweaked. It is expected that the 2020 Toyota Fortuner will come loaded with many updated features such as connected car technology, an advanced infotainment system and a premium sound system as well.
In the international market, Toyota will power the 2020 Fortuner with an updated 2.8 litre diesel engine and according to some media reports it is expected that this oil burner will be able to churn out 200 bhp of power. As Toyota has recently updated the current version of the Fortuner with BS6 specs it is still a question if this updated engine makes its way to the Indian market. Most likely Toyota will continue to offer the current 2.8-litre diesel and 2.7 litre petrol engine in India.
With the global unveiling of the 2020 Toyota Fortuner scheduled to take place on the 4th of June 2020 in Thailand, it will first go on sale in Thailand and then it will be followed in the international market. As for the Indian market, we expect that Toyota could launch the updated Fortuner somewhere around next year. According to some media reports, it is also known that before this launch, Toyota will first bring in a “Special Edition” for the current model.
