Vitara Brezza Petrol Facelift to get new Upgrades

Maruti Suzuki will be launching a petrol version of its Brezza during auto expo. Suzuki has revealed few of its details ahead of time. One of the majorly important details is that the car will be BS6 compliant. Here are some of the details of the petrol powered mid-life upgrade of Vitara Brezza.
The style upgrades:
The front of the car will include a wider chin split in two sections. The turn indicators will be moved to the main headlamp unit with larger fog-lamp housings. The car will get a larger LED daytime running lamp at the bottom with new chrome inserts. The mid-spec variants will get all-black alloy-wheels and top-spec ZXI+ trim will get diamond-cut alloy wheels. The back will also feature LEDs with turn indicators. The car will also get power-folding mirrors and compact roof antenna with wireless charging being offered on higher variants.
Color Options
Two new shades are also added in the list namely, Sizzling Red and Torque Blue along with dual-tone exterior. The dual tone shades include:
-
Granite Grey with orange roof
-
Torque blue with black roof
-
Sizzling Red with black roof
Interior and features
The car will get SmartPlay Studio infotainment system standard in top variants along with wrapped steering wheel and an auto dimming rear view mirror. The car will also receive some minor interior tweaks.
Powertrain options
The car will receive a BS6 compliant liter petrol engine that is already present in Ertiga and Ciaz. The car will produce a total of 105bhp of power with 138Nm of torque. The new facelift will have an option between two gearboxes, a 5-speed manual and 4-speed torque converter automatic.
The new facelift will receive fuel-saving Smart Hybrid tech for its automatic variants. The manual gearbox however, will not feature a stop-start system and integrated starter generator. This exclusion may actually help to keep the costs on the lower end as the BS6 is expected to increase the costs by Rs. 40,000-1 lakh. The car may also exclude electronic stability programs but will include hill-hold assistance instead.
As we mentioned before, because of the price hike the car will cost as much as the ongoing diesel. The car will also compete with Ford Ecosport, Mahindra XUV300, Nexon, Hyundai Venue in the Indian market. It will also face competition from the upcoming Renault HBC.
