Hyundai Venue SUV Price List, Images, Variations, Mileage

Hyundai has seen a lot of stuff happening in the compact SUV segment, it stood watchful of it over the years. Now, Hyundai has introduced a blockbuster product to its expanding portfolio. It has come up with a smart compact SUV, the Venue. Such has been the product that it has received an overwhelming response from the customers that it has already sold over 42,000 units in the first five months following its launch (May – September 2019). Why is this a bit shocking? Because, India is currently going through one of its worst automotive slowdown, that has forced many carmakers to cut down production. With a differentiating design, premium interiors, cool features and a long variant list, thanks to the three engine and three transmission options, the Venue is here to stay, continuing the momentum in the long run as well. Does the Hyundai Venue really deserve your money or should you consider some other SUV, let us find out.
EXTERIOR
Hyundai has done well to make the Venue, a head turner. The split headlamp arrangement is an indication of the family design language that Hyundai may be follow and impart on the upcoming Creta. The styling Is not aggressive but gentle and modern and one may mistake the Venue for a hatchback. The wide front grille follows Hyundai’s Sensuous Sportiness design theme. The DRLs sit below the sleek LED headlamps, surrounded by squarish halogen headlamps. The fog lamps are plain simple in comparison to the ultra-modern headlamp design.
The rear is simpler and houses lenticular LEDs, having lens like appearance. At the boot sits the Hyundai logo, below which the VENUE lettering settles down. Honestly speaking, the rear is the least SUVish in appearance. The roof rails add to the SUV touch, so does the 16-inch alloys. The sunroof adds a tinge of premiumness. Overall, it won’t be wrong to say that the Venue appears to be a scaled down version of the Creta from some angles.
INTERIOR
As you come to the interiors, you get three options here as well: all-black, khaki two-tone and denim blue two-tone. The material quality is superior to even many higher segment cars. The fit and finish of the plastics in the cabin is good. The float 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system is really the standout point of the cabin. It has many connected car features. The shortcut buttons for these features can be found on the rear-view mirror, which comes with day/night adjustment. The Blue Link connected car features can also be accessed via voice command or the smartphone app.
While the interior space may not be comparable to, say Nexon or the XUV300, it surely matches the Vitara Brezza. Another smart feature in the cabin is the air purifier, a first in segment feature. The all-black interiors might make you feel little claustrophobic, thanks to the small sized rear windows. The rear seating is comfortable with sufficient legroom. If you are tall, you might have problems with headroom. The upper variants get rear AC vents, which is very welcoming.
SAFETY FEATURES
The Hyundai Venue is one of the safest cars in its highly competitive segment. As we all know that Nexon has a 5-star NCAP rating and Vitara Brezza, a 4 star, so one can expect similar results for the Venue as well. Hyundai has equipped the Venue with a number of safety features such as airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, VSM, HAC, High Speed Alert, seat belts with pretensioners, rear parking assist system, cornering lamp and high structural safety (AHSS and HSS). Many features are standard across the variants.
INFOTAINMENT AND TECHNOLOGY
The Venue is high on technology and can be called as a smart SUV. It gets a 20.32 cm HD display AVN infotainment system with Telematics. The touchscreen acts as an interface between the driver and the Blue Link. Blue Link is a car connected technology with 33 connected features and works with a Vodafone e-SIM, with free data services for the initial three years, which interestingly also is the unlimited kilometres warranty and roadside assistance.
COMFORT AND CONVENIENCE
A number of comfort features have been provided in the Venue, many of which are segment’s first, the features include smart electric sunroof, air purifier (1st in segment), cruise control, advanced suspension cluster with rheostat, rear AC vents, eco coating technology (1st in segment) and driver rear view monitor.
