Tata Nexon and Nexon EV Dark First Review, Interior
Tata Nexon and Nexon EV Dark First Review - Exterior & Interior Updates. Rs 45,000 More Than The Top-End Nexon
After having a look at the Altroz Dark, we will now turn our attention towards the Nexon and the Nexon EV which also now get a Dark edition. Both SUVs do get some small changes too which we will discuss shortly.
Let us start with the Nexon Dark edition as it gets new Charcoal black 16 inch alloys along with #dark badging on the side too along with the other special edition cars. The Nexon does get some new silver highlights added into the design while the cladding is matte black which accentuates the whole black look to the car. We had a close look at the quality of the paint. It is pretty good and the SUV has more presence but the alloys are too small for our liking.
Next is the Nexon EV and it does not get the same exterior colour as the standard Nexon as instead it has a new Midnight Black exterior colour with Satin Black humanity line and beltline. It does share the charcoal alloy wheels though. The EV colour looks better in our opinion over the black in the standard Nexon Dark.
The standard Nexon Dark edition gets a new interior pack with the same dark theme. There is leatherette upholstery with Tri-arrow perforations on seats and door trim. The front headrests sports special #Dark Embroidery in line with the theme of the interiors. The quality is decent while some of the blackened trim will make it difficult to see in the night around the cabin.
The Nexon EV dark gets a more glossy piano black mid-pad and it also has the dark themed leatherette upholstery with Tri-arrow perforations on seats and door trims. There is a difference being that the EV version brings in EV Blue stitches (on the seats) and a leatherette wrapped steering wheel.
Price and Variants
The Nexon Dark edition is available in the variants XZ+, XZA+, XZ+(O) & XZA+(O) in both petrol and diesel, unlike the Altroz. The prices start at Rs 10.4 lakh and go till Rs 13.2 lakh. The Nexon EV Dark edition would be available with the EV XZ+ and the XZ+ LUX variants along with some feature additions like a tyre pressure monitoring system and more. Prices for the Nexon EV Dark edition are Rs 15.9 lakh to Rs 16.8 lakh. The standard Nexon Dark is more expensive by Rs 45,000 approx while the EV version is more expensive by Rs 30,000 for the top-end Nexon EV vs the top-end Nexon EV Dark. While maintaining black is more tough in India along with the heat factor, the cars look good and if you want your Nexon EV/ Nexon to stand out over the other cars, then this is a good choice.
