With this, the Indian manufacturer also brought in a six seater luxury version known as the XL6 as well.
Renault Triber

Renault has cut into the affordable MPV segment with the launch of the Triber. When compared to its pricing, the French automotive manufacturer has found just the right sweet spot with features, space and the engine option. The overall space in the cabin, the exterior design and the pricing has attracted many consumers in the market. Although the petrol engine is not very powerful, it does ride well in the city. Renault plans to get a turbocharged powerful engine in the coming months.
Toyota Innova Crysta
Price range: Rs.15.36 lakh - Rs.23.02 lakh
Started back in 2004, Toyota replaced the hot selling Qualis with the Innova. It is one of the most loved MPVs in the Indian market with the best in class space, features and last but not least the reliability. Innova’s with more than one lakh km on the odometer still sell like hot cakes in the used car market. In all these years Toyota has just updated this MPV with two minor facelifts and one major update in which it is now known as the Innova Crysta. In the new update, Toyota has managed to bring in variants which serve both the taxi aggregators as well as for private users.

Mahindra XUV 500

XUV500 offers a big presence along with modern features and with the recent update it manages to compete well with its competition. The bigger diesel engine provides the necessary power for this SUV to run effortlessly on road as well as off road. The overall design and the cabin is very spacious to accommodate seven passengers, hence its impressive. But when compared to the Jeep Compass and the Tata Hexa it does need some update. Mahindra is working on the 2020 model which has been caught testing as well. The upcoming XUV 500 will get the BS 6 Compliant engine and new update to the design and features list.
Mahindra Scorpio
Price range: Rs.10.00 lakh - Rs.16.63 lakh
The Scorpio sits just below the XUV 500 in the seven seater segment from Mahindra’s stable. This seven seater SUV is almost 15 years old and it has faced many major and minor updates. Scoprio helped Mahindra shape itself in the Indian market as it comes loaded with an aggressive and rugged appeal along with a strong diesel engine. Although when compared to its competition, the Scorpio does feel very old. But according to some new reports, Mahindar is working on a new update which will accommodate a BS 6 compliant engine and updates to the design, cabin and features list.
