Renault to Debut FIVE New Models at Auto Expo 2020

The Renault Triber has gathered a strong momentum for the brand. It has become the French carmaker’s bestseller. This can be attributed to certain factors like design, practicality, space and price. Renault India’s CEO and MD, Venkatram Mamillapalle has announced that the MPV will soon get a turbo petrol engine.
WHAT’S NEW?
Currently, the Triber is powered by a 3 cylinder 1.0 litre BS IV petrol engine that produces 72 bhp and 96 Nm of peak torque and is mated to a 5 speed manual transmission. As the deadline for BS VI approaches fast, Renault will now be offering a new 1.0 litre BS VI turbo petrol engine on the Triber that is expected to produce 99 bhp and 160 Nm of peak torque. The new engine will also do service in the upcoming HBC compact SUV and will be shared with Nissan’s upcoming products in India. The new variant will also have the option of a five speed AMT. It should be noted that the new turbo engine will continue to sell alongside the current naturally aspirated 1.0 litre petrol engine.
PRICES
The Triber is currently being sold in the price range of Rs. 4.95 Lakh – 6.63 Lakh. (Ex-showroom Delhi). With the new update, the Triber will be dearer by around Rs. 50,000.

Sub 4 M SUV (Codenamed HBC):
With increasing activity in the compact SUV space, Renault has its eyes set on this segment. Underpinned by the Compact Modular Family (CMF-A) architecture, the concept version of this Brezza, Nexon and Ecosport rival may be showcased.
-
Sub 4 M Sedan: Along side the HBC compact SUV concept, we may also see the concept version of a sub 4m sedan rivalling the Dzire.

City K-ZE Electric Car:
Sold in China, the K-ZE is an electric version of the Kwid that was unveiled at 2019 Auto Shanghai. With host of features and a 250 km range in full charge, we might see it alongside the Zoe EV.
