Tata Harrier 2020 Launched : Check Out What is New

Tata Motors, India’s leading automobile manufacturer, has been very active when it comes to displaying products. Now, Tata Motors have given an update to their flagship SUV, Harrier, and it gives the Harrier a BS VI compliant heart. The 2020 Tata Harrier is based on the OMEGA-ARC (Optimal Modular Efficient Global Advanced Architecture) platform. Apart from this, it also gets an all new automatic transmission and new features.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The new Harrier is powered by a 2 litre BS VI compliant Kryotec diesel engine that produces 170 PS of peak power and 350 Nm of peak torque. This is an increase from 140 PS and 350 Nm of the outgoing model. The same engine does the duty in Jeep Compass and MG Hector. The addition of a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission gives the customers an option of choosing between manual and automatic gearbox. Harrier is equipped with three drive modes: Norma, Rough and Terrain.
FEATURES
The features in the Harrier include an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, full colour TFT instrument cluster, fully automatic temperature control, multifunction steering wheel, shark fin antenna, Xenon HID projector headlamps with LED DRLs, 9 speaker music system by JBL. The new features include a panoramic sunroof, auto dimming interior rear-view mirror, six-way power adjustable driver’s seat and diamond cut 18-inch alloys and connected car technology from Tata.
SAFETY
As is the norm with Tata cars, the Harrier is one of the safest cars out there. The safety features include ABS with EBD, 6 airbags, traction control, hill hold, hill descent control, front fog lamps with cornering function, corner stability control, roll-over mitigation, reverse parking camera and ISOFIX child seat mounts.
VARIANT WISE PRICE LIST
With this update, the Harrier gets dearer by Rs. 25,000 - Rs. 30,000. The new variant wise prices of the Harrier is as follows:

The next wait remains for a petrol engine. Meanwhile the stylish and bold Harrier continues to rival Jeep Compass, MG hector, Mahindra XUV 500, Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta.
