Renault Duster


In the latest iteration, the Renault Duster has been offered with major tweaks in terms of aesthetics of the exterior, feature updates and even a revamped interior. With the new BS6 emission norms coming into place, the Duster loses out its diesel engine and we also see that it now doesn't even get the automatic gearbox. It's now powered with only a petrol engine and it comes only in 3 trim levels - RXE, RXS and RXZ.

RENAULT DUSTER EXTERIOR

In terms of aesthetics, the 2019 model brought in many changes that are still carried over in the BS6 model as well. The front fascia gets a newly sculpted bonnet, dual-tone front bumper, projector headlamp unit with integrated LED DRLs, a skid plate and a tri-winged chrome grille. Coming to the sides, the Duster gets kayak roof rails, electrically operated ORVM and it now runs on 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. At the rear, it gets a skid plate, matte black tailgate embellisher and LED tail lamps.

RENAULT DUSTER INTERIOR

On the inside the Duster is offered with new premium fabric upholstery,faux-aluminium trim, piano-black bits, it gets a new design steering wheel and rectangular-shaped AC Vents as compared to its previous model. It comes loaded with a cooled glovebox, ice cube graphic MID system and a 7-inch infotainment system that is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and it also features voice assistant command.

RENAULT DUSTER DRIVING

Along with the rugged and muscular looks, the Renault Duster also comes packed with off-road capabilities. It can tackle rough terrain and also absorbs big bumps and potholes effectively. The steering response is very responsive and this helps to man oeuvre around slippery and rough conditions with ease. In addition to this, the ride quality is on point and it surely delivers a good comfortable ride.

RENAULT DUSTER ENGINE

With the BS6 emission norms coming into place, now the Renault Duster misses out on the diesel engine. It is powered with a 1.5-litre petrol mill that churns out 106 bhp of power and 142 Nm of twist. This petrol mill comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox only.

RENAULT DUSTER SAFETY

Standard safety features include front dual airbags, ABS with EBD, Brake Assist, rapid deceleration warning, seat belt reminder system, speed alert system and rear parking sensors and camera.

RENAULT DUSTER MAINTENANCE

Renault offers the Duster with a 2 yr/50000 km warranty. While the general maintenance cost at 10000km or 12 months will vary from Rs 8000 to Rs 10,000.

The Renault Duster competes with the Mahindra XUV 300, Tata Nexon, Mahindra Bolero and the Ford EcoSport.

Renault retails the Duster at Rs.8.59 lakh up to Rs 9.99 lakh (Ex-Showroom, India). This crossover surely has got some off-road capabilities and delivers a comfortable ride.
