Exclusive: Nissan Magnite XE 1.0 Petrol Manual Images Review
Nissan Magnite XE 1.0 Petrol Manual Images Review
Nissan recently has changed the compact SUV space as it has launched the Magnite at hatchback prices instead of SUVs. Normally the compact SUV space starts from Rs 6.5 lakh onwards but Nissan has priced the Magnite from Rs 4.99 lakh onwards and that makes it cheaper than the Swift but what do you get for your 4.99 lakh and if you want a base variant Magnite and not spend more, what kind of car will you get? Here is our first look review.
Nissan Magnite XE Specifications and Mileage
The Nissan Magnite as you know is available in petrol only but the base XE is only available with the 1.0 petrol manual. This is not the 1.0 turbo petrol but the standard 1.0 petrol which is also there on the Renault Triber. It also gets a 5-speed manual and no CVT or automatic option. The 1.0 petrol makes 70 bhp and 96Nm of torque. It gets disc front brakes and drum rear ones. The dimensions are same.
Nissan Magnite XE Exterior
The Magnite XE misses out a lot from the top-end Magnite as it is seen from the images. However at first glance it does not look too bad or very different from the top-end Magnite as it also gets the same grille but you can see some changes. The Magnite XE does not get the LED units and instead gets halogen lights. Also if you note the L shaped DRLs are also deleted and in place it is just a chrome line added. There is also more black cladding and does not get the silver finished skid plate.
However when seen from the side that you can see it is the base variant as the steel wheels are there and do not even come with wheel covers. The black cladding is covered all over and no chrome door handles also.
Move to the rear and here it is not too bad but the silver finish detailing is out as instead you get a full black look but you do have the in-built spoiler which is nice plus there is a standard rear washer and wiper- something which is useful.
Nissan Magnite XE Interior and Features
The base trim XE gets a dual tone interior but you do see that it is a stripped out cabin since there is no touch-screen or any audio system. You do get the same instrument cluster and the same round controls for the AC.
In terms of features it is very basic as you only get the essentials such as a manual air-con plus power windows and power steering. You can also adjust the ORVMs internally. That is it as it misses out on all features which are there on the other Magnite variants.
However the dual-tone black/beige interior does not look bad and in-fact it looks quite good while the safety aspect is well looked at. You do get dual airbags, ABS with EBD and rear parking sensors.
Nissan Magnite XE Price
The Magnite XE is priced at rs 4.99 lakh and the next variant is Rs XL which is Rs 5.99 lakh. Interestingly the tech pack with extra features like wireless charging and more is not there as an option on the Magnite XE and XL. Overall the Magnite XE is by far the cheapest SUV and would make sense for those who want a SUV on a tight budget which this fulfills. The XE is very well priced and does not very bad plus gets all the essential features which makes this a good compact SUv for those who could not afford one.
