Android Auto Latest Update

Over the past few months, Google has offered Android Auto with a few major updates which also includes its complete redesign that was seen last year. With the latest update, Android Auto receives a new overhaul to the settings menu which is found on our phones and some visual and customisation updates as well. 

Although in the recent updates, Android Auto got some of the functions which can be operated directly in the car, most of the advanced functions still remain in the Android Auto app on your smartphone. With the latest updates, a brand new settings interface has been updated which will connect to the advance settings in our phones. 

Now, the menu gets a new graphic which is seen on the top to showcase the new Android Auto UI. It also showcases various toggles and menus which are listed underneath the sections. In addition to this, it will also showcase whether the smartphone connected by USB or through a wireless connection. 

 With this, the latest update also brings customisation options for the launcher, media resumption, weather, notifications, Google Assistant options, “Hey Google” detection and a handful of system options as well. 

Apple CarPlay iOS 14 Update

Apple is buckling up to launch a new iOS 14 operating system which will also include some updates to Apple CarPlay. These updates included the inclusion of custom wallpapers and it will also automatically adjust to a darker theme during the night. It will also include updates to the Apple Maps which will showcase speed camera alerts and EV routing. This helps electric car owners to plan their trip by adding public charging stations on the route. It can even communicate with the car to check the charge remaining and let you plan your journey so that you do not miss your charging station.

The new update will also bring in new apps for EV charging and for finding parking spots and restaurants. In addition to this, Siri will be featured with new graphics and it will also get new selection features as well. On the other hand, even the Google Maps app is getting an update, in which it lets you display the app on the home screen which was previously only available on Apple Maps
