The T-Roc has a length of 4234mm along with a width of 1819mm. The Taigun is expected to have a length of 4200mm along with a width of 1760mm. But the Taigun is expected to have a longer wheelbase of 2651 mm as compared to 2590 mm in T-Roc.
The Taigun is slightly smaller than the T-Roc while the T-Roc has a sportier stance with a lower set roof and coupe-like proportions. For more space the Taigun roofline is straighter. Both get 17-inch alloy wheels.

The T-Roc looks more expensive than the Taigun but the differences are not that huge at all. That said, the T-Roc being the more expensive SUV has a superior built quality and gets premium materials. The rear seats in Taigun can easily seat two people in comfort, but for the middle passenger, it will not be as comfortable in Taigun as T-Roc due to the smaller width. The T-Roc is only sold with a 1.5l TSI petrol which makes 150hp along with a standard 7-speed DSG Automatic. The T-Roc has an active cylinder technology that senses the driving behaviour and accordingly activates or deactivates 2 out of 4 cylinders resulting in improved fuel economy.
The Taigun will have two engine options. It will get a 1.0l TSI petrol which makes 115hp and will also get the 150hp 1.5 TSI Petrol from T-Roc. The Taigun will get a 6-speed manual and an automatic gearbox option with both engines. The 1.0 TSI will have a 6-speed torque convertor automatic while the 1.5 TSI will have a 7-speed DSG

Since the T-Roc is a fully imported SUV, Volkswagen India can import a maximum of 2000 units annually and have priced it at Rs 21.3 lakh (ex-showroom). The Taigun with localization would start at around 10 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base variant with the top end variant with the same 1.5l TSI petrol and 7-speed DSG like T-Roc priced at Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom). The Taigun is expected to be launched by August,2021 in India to rival Creta and Seltos.
The T-Roc is a good looking sportier premium SUV with superior built quality and loaded with safety features while the Taigun is a better value family SUV.
