BMW X1’s next gen has been spotted testing and no this not like those minor face lifts with bumper changes or new headlamps.

This one’s rather big , mechanically as well. BMW seems to be working on a hybrid version of the X1.

Worldcarfans reports “seen in the attached spy shots depicting an early prototype that doesn’t have the production-spec lighting clusters. The “hybrid test vehicle” lettering on the front right door is a giveaway of the vehicle’s propulsion and although not visible in these images, we know for sure there’s a second fuel cap on the front left fender for recharging the batteries”

It will be launched in the first half of 2016 and this hybrid under the hood is likely to have a 1.5 turbo , 3 Cylinder engine partnering with an electric motor.

Prices will for sure be higher than the existing X1
