Just as we are eagerly waiting for the launch of the Ford Aspire facelift, many new details have now been leaked. Spy images of this upcoming new compact sedan have also been seen all over the internet from quite a few days.
According to some reports (unconfirmed) we come to know that the Aspire facelift will be a bit heavier in comparison to the previou model. This is due to Boron Steel which is being used in the construction of the car. Boron Steel is the similar material which is also used to manufacture the EcoSport. Although this weight increase could affect the performance figures but on the other hand it will also assure better build quality and safety.
It is also expected that Ford will offer two petrol engines along with one diesel mill for the upcoming Aspire facelift. The two petrol engines include the 1.5 litre, three cylinder Dragon series unit and the 1.2 litre unit which is seen on the Freestyle. Also is expected that only the 1.5 litre unit will be matted with the six speed automatic gearbox and only the 1.2 litre unit will get the manual transmission. According to some rumours, the six speed automatic gearbox will get Select Shift for manual shits.
Some reports also suggest, that Ford could also get in a Sports variant for the Aspire which will come fitted with CNG kit. But the launch of this model is expected somewhere around 2019 and it will mainly focus for cab operators.
As of now there is no word about the pricing but we can expect the top trim to carry a price tag of Rs 10 lakh.
