Hyundai has launched a limited edition model of the Verna and it is known as the Anniversary Edition. This will be limited run model and only 1000 such units will be manufactured and sold. The Korean car manufacturer has launched this special edition mid size sedan at a starting price of Rs 11.69 lakh (Ex-Showroom, Delhi).


The Hyundai Verna Anniversary Edition will be powered with both the petrol and diesel engines. But only the petrol variant will come with an option of a manual or automatic gearbox, whereas the diesel version will only get the manual transmission.


Aesthetically, this special edition Verma gets faux aluminum skid plates on the front bumper and the rear bumper as well, on the sides it gets wing mirrors painted in black and it also gets a shark fin antenna on top of the roof. This mid size sedan model will only be available in two paint schemes - Marina Blue and Polar White.

Moving towards the inside, the dual tone beige black layout as seen on the standard model is dropped and this special edition model gets an all black interior theme. In addition to this, it also gets some blue accents on the dashboard near the AC Vents and it also comes equipped with a wireless charging dock, sunroof, ventilated seats, smart trunk and telematics


Under the hood of the petrol model Verna Anniversary Edition is the 1.6 litre unit, which produces  121bhp of power at 6,400rpm and 151Nm of twist at 4850 rpm. As we mentioned, this petrol engine will come matted with a manual as well as automatic transmission. On the other hand, the diesel version gets the 1.6 litre unit coupled  to a manual gearbox and it generates 126bhp at 4000rpm and 260Nm of torque at 1,500rpm.

As the anniversary Edition is based on the SX(O) trim of the standard Verna it will not get the 1.4 litre petrol unit. In the Indian market, the Hyundai Verna locks it horn with the Honda city and the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.
