Ever wanted wanted to buy the Nexon with some specs from the top spec variant XZ+ trim and the XT trim? Well, your wait is over as Tata Motors has taken in consideration the feedbacks from its customers and has launched a new variant. This variant is named as the XZ variant and it is launched to fill in the gaps between the XZ+ and XT trim. Tata Motors has launched the Nexon XZ at Rs 7.99 lakh (ex- showroom, Delhi) for the petrol trim and Rs 8.99 lakh (ex- showroom, Delhi) for the diesel trim.
Aesthetically there aren't any changes, but comparing to the top spec XZ+ variant, this new variant misses out of LED Daytime Running Lights but it does get projector headlights, at the front. Moving towards the side profile, the XZ trim also missies out on Dual-Tone roof and ally wheels. Rest design and aesthetics are same same as that of the other variants.
Stepping inside the one will notice the floating 6.5 inch infotainment system from Harman along with four tweeters. This infotainment system is compatible to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and it also features Voice commands. In addition to this, the Nexon XZ gets driver seat height adjuster, Day and night central rear view mirrors inside. It also boosts of a feature which helps to read out and reply text messages.
Under the hood of the Nexon XZ is the same petrol and diesel mills that powers all other variants of the Nexon. The 1.5 litre diesel engine produces 10bhp of power and on the other hand the 1.3 litre turbo petrol mill generates 110 bhp of power. Both of the engine options get the multiple driving modes. As of now the XZ variant will only get a six speed manual gearbox. In the coming month Tata will launch an AMT transmission and this trim will be called as the XZA variant.
