In the list of top 10 selling cars of March 2016, first 4 places are captured by none other than Maruti Suzuki along with two other spots-7th Celerio and 9th Baleno. The fifth position is captured by recently launched Kwid which has surpassed Hyundai Motor India’s best selling and well established models, Grand i10 and Elite i20, in monthly sales in March 2016. So here’s the list of Top 10 Selling Cars of March 2016.

Maruti Suzuki

Maruti Suzuki India Limited, sold 129,345 units in March 2016. This includes 118895 units in the domestic market and 10450 units in exports. With this the Company ended 2015-16 with its highest ever sales of 1429248 units, a growth of 10.6%. This comprises highest ever domestic sales of 1305351 units and 123897 units of exports. For the fourth year in a row, the top four best-selling models in India are from Maruti Suzuki: Alto, Dzire, Swift and WagonR.

Hyundai India

Hyundai Motor India Ltd also achieved its highest-ever financial Year domestic sales of 484,324 units compared to 420,668 units in 2014-15 registering a growth of 15.1%. For the month of March 2016, Hyundai registered domestic sales of 41,201 units and exports of 10,251 units with cumulative sales of 51,452 units.

Honda Cars India Ltd

Honda Cars India Ltd. records Annual Domestic Sales of 192,059 units with 2% growth in FY 2015 – 16. In the month of March, the automaker retailed of 17,430 units compared to 22,696 units in the corresponding month last year. HCIL exported a total volume of 5,740 units during FY 15-16

Toyota Kirloskar Motor

In the month of March 2016, Toyota Kirloskar Motor sold a total of 9,007 units. This includes 7637 units sold in the domestic market & 1370 exported units of the Etios series. The company had sold a total of 13,035 units in the domestic market and exported 1,290 units of the Etios series in the same month last year. Toyota Camry continues to grow with a 46% growth in FY 2015-2016 when compared to FY 2014-2015. More than 90% of this growth is attributed to the increasing acceptance of the Camry Hybrid in the Indian market.
