The Mahindra TUV300 is yet to be offered with a mid life update and it is now confirmed that the work on this compact SUV has begun. With the new update, Mahindra will be offering the TUV 300 with the facelift or some design updates and some addition of new features and technology.
In addition to this, there will also be some big changes under the skin. According to some reports from the PTI, it is known that there will be some structural modification done which will help this compact SUV to comply with crash test norms that will be applicable on all cars from October 2019.
Also, Mahindra is commenced on working with BS-IV compliant engines, that will be powering the upcoming facelift TUV 300. These emission norms will come into effect from the 1st of April 2020. As of now, under the hood of the TUV 300 is a 1.5 litre three cylinder diesel unit that produces 100 horsepower. This engine comes coupled with a five speed manual transmission or an optional AMT gearbox.
The sales of the TUV 300 is average, so with the launch of this upcoming model, Mahindra aims to increase the sales numbers. Also, Mahindra has started working on the AMT unit for the Marazzo. As of now, Mahindra is getting ready to launch the Y400 SUV in the festive season.
