Mahindra has officially added another variant to the XUV 500’s lineup. This trim is known as the W9 variant and it will be available in both manual and automatic transmission. The W9 maula trim will cost Rs 14.45 lakhs ex-showroom,Delhi and the automatic variant will cost Rs 16.53 lakhs ex-showroom, Delhi.

Mahindra is now offering a 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system which supports Android Auto. In addition to this it also get an emergency call function and EcoSense which stores and log your driving data. This variant also boosts an electric sunroof which comes anti-pinch system as a standard package and along with this it also gets modern features like tyre pressure monitoring system, Keyless entry and push button Start and Stop system. Well we gotta say that Mahindra has not compromised with safety and it offers ABS with EBD, front dual airbags, ESP, rollover mitigation, static bending headlamps and reverse parking camera.
Popping up the hood this car is powered with a 2179cc mHawk diesel engine which is capable of producing 140 bhp of power and 330 Nm of torque. This engine is coupled with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox.
So what does the W9 variant lack if compared with the W10 trim of XUV 500?
Comparing both the trims, W9 variant lacks in the optional all-wheel drive, connected Apps, brake energy regeneration system and the logo projection lamps.
