Today Renault launches the Captur in the Indian market at a starting price of rs 9.99 lakhs (Ex-Showroom, India). Captur will be available in three variants namely- RXE, RXL and RXT, whereas the Diesel engine Captur gets an additional trim- Platine. Powering the Renault Captur is an optional petrol and diesel engine. Captur is a 5 seater premium crossover from Renault and it is based on Renault’s new design language. Although the Captur has its underprints front the Renault Duster, this premium crossover is equipped with an additional set of features over the Duster.

Renault Captur is designed in such a way that is packed with both stylish lines and curves, this helps it to standout with the design of other traditional SUV. Captur is based on the MO platform which is also shared with the Renault Duster. The front fascia of the Captur is offered with new design horizontally slotted smiley grille on which the Renault the logo is placed majestically. The top variant Captur’s will come equipped with Full LED headlamps, C shaped DRL’s, LED tail lights, Floating indicators and new design 17 inch alloy wheels.


As we mentioned at the unveiling of the Captur, this car is offered with premium finish interior. The Captur will come equipped with an option for the Interior scheme - two- tone look or all black theme. Along with this, it gets standard features like automatic climate control, cruise control, steering mounted audio controls, electrically operated wing mirrors, infinity instrument cluster and 7-inch touchscreen display at the centre console powered with smartphone integration via Bluetooth, voice command and GPS navigation.


Renault is offering many safety features like front dual airbags, ABS and EBD, brake assist, hill-start assist, cruise control, electronic stability control, rear parking sensors and ISOFIX standard fitments for child seats.


Powering the Renault Captur are optional petrol and diesel engines. The petrol variants get a 1.5 litre mill which produces 104bhp of power and 142 Nm of Torque and is matted to a five-speed manual transmission. Whereas the diesel variants get a 1.5 litre mill which is capable of producing 108 Bhp of power and 240Nm of torque and is matted with a six-speed manual transmission. As of now no variants will come equipped with an automatic transmission and will also miss out on AWD drivetrain.
