After much teasing and a long wait, Tata Motors finally launches the Harrier in India. The Tata Harrier has been launched at a starting price of Rs 12.69 lakh (Ex-Showroom, Mumbai). The Harrier SUV comes available in a five-seater model and it comes in four different trim levels- Base variant (XE), Mid-spec variant (XM and XT) and the top of the line trim level (XZ).
Aesthetically, the Harrier is offered with very aggressive styling and it is surely a head turner. If we compare it to the H5X concept which was showcased last year at the 2018 Auto Expo, the design is quite similar. The Harrier is offered with five different paint options for its customers to choose from- Calisto Copper, Thermistor Gold, Ariel Silver, Telesto Grey and Orcus White.
Tata has developed the Harrier on their Omega Arc Platform which is derived from Land Rovers D8 platform which underpins the Discovery Sport. In terms of dimensions, the Harrier SUV measures 4598mm in length, 1894mm in width, 1706mm in height, a ground clearance of 205mm and it gets along wheelbase measuring 2741mm.
Let's step in and have a look at what the top end trim level of the Harrier SUV has to offer us. The Harrier XZ comes equipped with an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit which is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, this infotainment unit is connected with sound system sourced from JBL, automatic headlight unit, automatic climate control, automatic wipers and leather upholstery.
The instrument cluster is part digital with a 7.0-inch screen and for the long highway runs it also comes equipped with cruise control. In terms of safety, the Harrier hasn't disappointed us a bit, it comes with six airbags, ABS with EBD, corner stability control, hill hold and descent function and rollover mitigation system.
Popping to the hood of the Harrier, we get to know that this five-seater SUV is only powered with a single engine option. This is the 2.0-litre diesel unit which has been sourced from Fiat and it is capable of producing 140 horsepower and 350Nm of twist. This oil burner will be coupled with a six-speed manual gearbox and it will only be available in an FWD system. On a later stage, Tata Motors will be bringing in a petrol engine along with an automatic gearbox that will be sourced from Hyundai Motors. Although the Harrier does get a four-wheel drive system, Tata has offered it with multiple off-road modes.

2019 Maruti Suzuki Wagon R
The WagonR is one Maruti’s most sold hatchback and from quite some years it hasn't been given a proper update rather just some feature updates. Now, after a long time, the Indian manufacturer has finally launched the facelift of the Wagon R. This is the 2019 Wagon R and Maruti Suzuki has launched it at a starting price of Rs 4.19 lakh (Ex-Showroom, India).
In terms of aesthetics, the 2019 Wagon r follows the tall body design just like its predecessor. But in comparison with the older models, the new Wagon R is now built on a new platform and it also gets a whole new design on the exterior. The platform that the new Wagon r is built on is the Heartect Platform which helps to make this hatchback lighter and this platform also underpins the Ertiga, Baleno, Ignis and the New Swift.
If we compare the new Wagon R to its previous mode it is now larger which a longer wheelbase and increased in width. This helps to provide much better space in the cabin. Upfront the face gets a new look, new design front bumper, new design headlamps and new design grille. While at the rear, it gets a tall tail light unit which reaches up to the top along with a spoiler for a sporty look.
Stepping in, the first thing one will notice is that the cabin is now much roomier thanks to the large design and new platform. In addition to this, this hatchback also get new and updated features and equipment such a seven inch touchscreen infotainment unit that is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, electrically adjustable and foldable wing mirrors, turn indicators on the wing mirrors, fog lamps on the front, defogger on the rear along with a washer and wiper at the rear.
Also, the interior gets a dual tone beige and brown theme, a newly designed dashboard, multifunctional steering wheel and restyled instrument cluster. Coming towards the safety package, the base variants get driver side airbags, while the ZXi trim levels get dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and rear parking sensors will be available across all the trim levels.
The 2019 WagonR not only gets a facelift but also gets some crucial changes on the mechanical part. Now, Maruti has also added a powerful engine along with the standard 1.0-litre petrol mill. This new engine is a 1.2-litre petrol unit that churns out 83 horsepower and it comes matted with both the five-speed manual gearbox and five-speed AMT unit. On the other hand, the 1.0-litre petrol unit is still unchanged and it generates 68 horsepower and it also comes coupled with a five-speed manual gearbox and five-speed AMT unit.
If we compare the old Wagon r model with a newly launched model, in terms of pricing it has been increased Rs 34,000. All New Nissan Kicks
Nissan has finally turned the tables with the launch of the Kicks in the Indian market. Nissan wanted a chance to step on their sales and a new product desperately needed. Nissan has launched the Kicks in India at a starting price of Rs 9.55 lakh (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). With this, the Kicks will be available in two petrol trim levels and four diesel models.
The Indian model Nissan Kicks is based on Renault-Nissan’s MO Platform. This platform is also shared with the Terrano and it helps keep the price of the Kicks very competitive in the Indian automotive market. If we compare the Indian model Kicks with the international model, the former is much larger and gets a roomier cabin.
Let's look at what Nissan has to offer in terms of modern features and technology to the Kicks, shall we? All the variants of the Nissan Kicks will be equipped with LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL’s), all power windows, electrically adjustable wing mirrors, integrated turn indicators on the wing mirrors, rear AC vents and automatic climate control. Right from the XV variant and above, Nissan will be providing 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, while only the XV Pre-Option (Top Trim Level) will get a 360-degree surround camera. The addition of this 360 surround camera will be first in its segment.
Nissan powers the Kicks with both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol model Kicks is powered with a 1.5-litre unit and it is matted with a five-speed manual gearbox. This powertrain generates 105 bhp of power and 142Nm of torque. On the other hand, the diesel model Kicks is powered with a 1.5-litre pot that is matted with a six-speed manual gearbox and this powerhouse is capable of churning out 108bhp of power and 240Nm of twist. In terms of fuel economy according to the ARAI certified efficiency, the petrol variants give out 14.23 km per litre of fuel, while the diesel model gives out 20.4 km per litre of fuel.

2019 Toyota Camry
Last year Toyota had revealed the Camry globally and now after a year, Toyota has brought in the new Camry in the Indian market. The 2019 Toyota Camry retails at a price of Rs 36.95 lakh (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). This is the eighth generation of the Camry and with this, it now moves on to the new global platform making this sedan bigger and thus providing a spacious cabin. In the Indian market, the new Camry will only be available in a single trim level and it is powered with Hybrid technology.
As mentioned above, the New generation Camry is now based on Toyota’s versatile TNGA Platform. This is the same platform that underpins the new Lexus ES. in terms of styling and aesthetics, the new Camry is very much aggressive in comparison with the older model Camry. Just like the exterior of the new Camry, even the cabin is very modern. Toyota has offered its interior with the latest equipment and modern technology along with a new plush design. The petrol engine is four-cylinder pot and it is capable of generating 175 bhp of power and 221Nm of twist and this mill is matted to an 88kW electric motor. Together this Hybrid unit is coupled with a six-speed CVT automatic gearbox and it capable of churning out 215 bhp of power and 221Nm of twist which is transferred to the front wheels.
