The new version of Tata harrier is expected to launch at next year’s auto expo. The new 7-seater will have same interior as of the 5-seater version. The car will be renamed and will have a different name than Tata buzzard that was introduced in Geneva Convention.

Let's have detailed insight of Tata Harrier:

  • Exterior:

The new 7-seater will obviously bigger than the current model with its length measuring to 4661mm (+63mm), 1786mm (+80mm) of height with the same width of 1894mm. the car will also come with same wheelbase of 2741mm. the car will also come with exterior upgrades like larger window area, roof spoiler, upgraded tail lamps, renewed tailgates and a bigger panoramic sunroof. The car will also come with 19-inch alloy wheels which will be similar to Tata buzzard Geneva edition.

  • Interiors:

The new harrier will sport a similar look inside as that of the 5-seater with the only exception of an additional third row. 

  • Engine:

The new harrier will come mated with 6-speed automatic that will be sourced by Hyundai. The engine will be BS6 compliant. The new harrier will get a 2.0 liter, 4-cylinder petrol engine that is expected to produce 170ps of power and 350nm of torque. Performance wise, it is expected to compete with MG hector and jeep compass. The 7-seater is also expected in 6-speed manual. It will also get a diesel automatic. The 5-seater automatic is also expected next year in the market.

  • Features:

The feature list will include an 8.8-inch touch screen infotainment with Apple Car Play and Android Auto. The climate controls will be placed below it. The automatic gear lever will come with a black top with silver inserts. the central console will also have a piano black finish with the usual automatic modules that is; P for parking, D for drive and R for reverse. The car is also expected to get some additional features. 

  • Price:

Currently, the 5-seater Tata harrier is priced as a premium SUV that ranges from Rs. 13 lakhs to Rs.17 lakhs. The 7-seater manual will be priced Rs.1 lakh higher than the current 5-seater version. The cost will add another Rs. 1 lakh for the automatic version.
