Covid-19 Halts Upcoming Car Launch - Octavia, Alcazar, GLA
Covid-19 Halts Upcoming New Car Launches in India - Next Gen Octavia, Alcazar and GLA Launch Delayed
Had it not been for the deadly new wave of virus, we would have had the launches of the new Octavia, Alcazar and the GLA by now. With this new deadly wave which is affecting many, the car makers have decided to postpone the launches until further notice. Skoda was going to launch the new Octavia shortly but due to the situation in Mumbai and Delhi, has decided to postpone it until further notice. Hyundai was also supposed to launch the Alcazar later this month but will also postpone the launch due to the current circumstances. We were expecting the Alcazar to launch around April end. Just like Skoda or Hyundai, luxury carmaker Mercedes was also going to launch its GLA compact SUV in India this month but has seemingly also halted launch plans. All these three cars are important launches, hence selecting the right timing is crucial. Along with these three, even Kia was unveiling its new brand logo next week along with a special edition Seltos, which has also been postponed. With current sentiments being low and people not stepping out with lockdowns or restrictions imposed, launching a car may not be the best idea at this time. With the cases expected to drop by Mid-May, we can expect the launches of cars to resume, if the lockdown is reduced that is!.
Stay Safe Stay Indoor Till Then.
