The festive season is where most of the car buying decisions are made, hence Honda is planning to bring something new to entice customers. The Amaze has been around for a long time and it needs an update to take on rivals like the Maruti Dzire and more. The Amaze facelift would be a cosmetic update and nothing will change mechanically which means the 1.2l petrol four-cylinder i-VTEC engine producing a power output of 90 horsepower and 110 Nm of torque and the 1.5l diesel producing a power output of 100 horsepower and 200 Nm of torque will continue. Also nothing would be changed on the gearbox front with CVT automatic and 5 speed manual gearbox options continuing to be on offer.
2021 Honda Amaze Facelift Design, Interior & Features Update
The changes would include a new grille and a changed front bumper along with new LED Projector headlamps. The alloy wheels might also be changed. In terms of the rear styling, the tail-lamps are new LED ones along with a mildly updated bumper. Inside, there would be a more premium upholstery on offer along with feature upgrades. It might get features similar to bigger brother Honda City to increase its premium appeal. The 2021 Honda Amaze facelift may get segment-first electric sunroof. The current Honda Amaze is the second generation version on sale and in this generation, the car has done well. That said, the increased competition from subcompact SUVs has affected sales a bit. The Amaze is the main selling car of Honda alongside the City hence the upcoming update is very crucial. The current Honda Amaze Price starts from ₹ 7.33 Lakh and goes upto ₹ 11.88 Lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai) and is available in four trims - E, S, V and VX. The new 2021 Amaze will receive a minor price hike with the launch of the facelifted version.
