Kia Carnival - Sales Report of First Month of Launch Feb 2020
Kia Motors have been on a roll with the Seltos being a super hit but it was crucial to follow it up with a second product that would also strike the right chord with the car buyers. Thus it launched the Carnival which is a luxury MPV and positioned at a premium space.
Launch at Auto Expo 2020
Launched with a price starting at Rs. 24.5 lakh starting while the top-end Limousine variant is Rs 33.9 lakh. The new Carnival is available in 7,8 as well as 9-seater forms. In its first month the Carnival has done a sales of 1620 units with the top-end Limousine trim being in much demand.
The Limousine variant has the captain seats and you can also rest your leg courtesy leg-rests and there is more leather plus luxuries like rear entertainment screens. Of course it has the UVO connect features as well. The Carnival is powered by a 2.2l BS6 diesel with 200 bhp and 440Nm. You can also have it with a 8-speed automatic gearbox while the mileage is 13.9 kmpl.
Those massive electrically operated sliding doors and those doors help getting in and out very easily too plus inside space is massive, which explains why most owners are chauffeur driven.
There is no rival so as to speak with the Carnival being bigger than the Innova Crysta and a lot more luxurious too so in that price bracket there is nothing out there to match this. There are other new MPVs coming from other car-makers but not at this price and the other luxury MPVs are nearly double the price of the Carnival!
