Skoda Kushaq 1.5 TSI First Review - Deliveries in Aug 2021
Skoda Kushaq Deliveries are expected to start from Aug, 2021
The Skoda Kushaq is nearing its launch and price reveal date. While we have earlier said that the Kushaq will come on the 28th, the model that would immediately be available for delivery and test drive would be the 1.0 TFSI. That engine comes with the cheaper turbo petrol engine and would be launched with a torque converter automatic and a manual gearbox. This article is about the more expensive Kushaq aimed at customers who want the extra performance. Yes, this is regarding the Kushaq with the 1.5 TFSI turbo petrol. That would be the top-end petrol engine and would be coming with two gearbox options also. But unlike the 1.0 TFSI, the 1.5 TFSI will come with a 7-speed DSG automatic while a 6-speed manual would be standard of course. The Kushaq stands at 4221mm length and is above subcompact SUVs while slotting alongside compact SUVs. Visually the 1.5 TSI would be available with the top-end variants and that would mean it would come with 17-inch diamond cut alloys and more.
The 1.5 TSFI would be generating 150ps/250Nm and that would make it more powerful than the compact SUVs. The 7-speed DSG also brings in paddle shifters which would be a plus too. That said, the Creta and Seltos both have this feature too. The extra power will appeal to enthusiasts while we expect agile handling.
The 1.5 TFSI would be available with the top-end trim which is the Style variant hence expect the sunroof, ventilated seats, alloys and more. The real question is price of course and the 1.5 TFSI will not be as affordable as the 1.0 TFSI Kushaq since it is an engine which is not as localized. Hence since it would be available with top-end trim only expect the ex-showroom price of the Kushaq 1.5 TSFI automatic to be Rs 16 lakh plus atleast. We will bring you the prices soon and also the review. Stay tuned.
