Nissan Magnite on-road price comparison with compact SUVs
Nissan will be launching the Magnite within a few days time but prices have already leaked and below you can see them.
|All New Nissan Magnite SUV Price List|
|Nissan Magnite Variant||Ex-Showroom Price||On-Road Price|
|1.0L Petrol XE||Rs. 5,50,000||Rs. 6,60,000|
|1.0L Petrol XL||Rs. 6,25,000||Rs. 7,50,000|
|1.0L Petrol XV||Rs. 6,75,000||Rs. 8,10,000|
|1.0L Petrol XV Premium||Rs. 7,65,000||Rs. 9,18,000|
|1.0L Turbo Petrol XL||Rs. 7,25,000||Rs. 8,70,000|
|1.0L Turbo Petrol XV||Rs. 7,75,000||Rs. 9,30,000|
|1.0L Turbo Petrol XV Premium||Rs. 8,65,000||Rs. 10,38,000|
|1.0L Turbo Petrol XL CVT Automatic||Rs. 8,15,000||Rs. 9,78,000|
The base variant Magnite starts at an attractive Rs Rs 5.5 lakh ex-showroom while the base turbo manual is Rs 7.2 lakh. Now that will make it the most affordable SUV and also amongst the most affordable cars with a turbo petrol engine. The mid-spec CVT would be Rs 8.15 lakh. We are concentrating till the mid-spec since the on-road prices would be below Rs 10 lakh for it.
In-fact the Magnite is more than a lakh cheaper than other compact SUVs and that would be its USP along with the fact that it would be cheaper than most premium hatchbacks too.
Nissan will launch the Magnite with two petrol engines and one of them is a turbo petrol while it also will launch only a CVT automatic and no AMT. It will be well equipped and would have segment first features like a around view monitor with a front camera plus other features like wireless charging and a digital instrument cluster and more. You can read our first look review of the Magnite here while you can also read our full spec and details of the Magnite here.
|Petrol Compact SUV||Price range (ex-showroom)|
|Nissan Magnite||Rs 5.15- 8.15 lakh|
|Kia Sonet||Rs 6.7- 12.9 lakh|
|Hyundai Venue||Rs 6.7-11.4 lakh|
|Tata Nexon||Rs 7- 11.3 lakh|
|Maruti Brezza||Rs 7.3- 11.4 lakh|
|Ford EcoSport||Rs 8.1- 11.5 lakh|
Looking at the prices it is clear that the Magnite would be massively cheaper than rivals and would be offering more value. Nissan would also be giving the Magnite with an optional tech pack which you can have with even the base variant. Compared to rivals the Magnite nearly offers all of the features without some like a sunroof but the price saved will mean most hatchback or base variant compact SUV buyers will now look at top/mid spec Magnite for more features and value.
