Renault to launch the all-new Triber soon
Renault has officially named the RBC MPV as the Triber and the launch has been scheduled to take place in the month of July 2019.
The Triber will be an all-new seven-seater MPV to roll out from Renault’s stable.
Renault is all ready to launch its all-new MPV which has now been named as the Triber. This MPV was previously codenamed as the RBC and a seven-seater configuration of the same was spotted testing many times. According to some media reports, we have come to know that the Triber could start retailing from the month of July 2019.
When Renault will launch the Triber, it will most probably be positioned between the kwid and the Duster and it will sit below the Lodgy from its India line up. It is also known that the Triber will be based on a new platform.
According to the test mules spotted, we get to know the Triber will get an upright nose and the front end will get a heavy dose of the cladding. The overall design and aesthetics will get similar to cars from the Renault family.
In accordance with this, the Triber will be equipped with a wing-type nose grille and there will be LED strips under the headlamp units. The Triber gets a round profile which could help this MPV to offer better cabin space. It will also get a new design alloy wheels and roof rails.
From the spy images that floated around the internet earlier, we get to some information about the cabin as well. It gets a black and silver interior scheme along with some chrome hints around the instrument cluster.
The information cluster is similar to the ones seen on the Duster and the Capture, but to keep the cost low it might miss out on some features. The dashboard hosts a large touchscreen infotainment unit which will be compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
In terms of the safety kit, complying with the new safety norms, this MPV will come equipped with front dual airbags, seat belt reminder system, high-speed alert system, ABS with EB, rear parking sensors and ISOFIX child seat anchor points.
Powering the Renault Triber will most probably be a petrol engine only. It could be the 1.2 litres, a three-cylinder unit that powers the Datsun Go and the Go+ that produces 67 bhp of power and 104Nm of twist. Also, the 1.0-litre unit that powers the Kwid could also be a choice. It is also expected that a five-speed manual transmission with an AMT unit to be coupled with the engine.
The launch of the Triber is scheduled to happen in the second half of the month of July 2019. Once launched it will give a tough competition to the New Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, the Datsun Go+ and the Mahindra Marazz0 in the Indian market.
It is expected that Renault will retail the Triber between the price range of Rs 5 lakh to Rs 8 lakh (Ex-Showroom, India). Till then stay tuned to MyNewCar to know more about the upcoming Renault Triber.

Official images of India bound 2019 MG Hector revealed
MG Motors official unveils the images of the upcoming Hector SUV.
The launch of the MG Hector is scheduled to take place in the month of June.
Along with this, MG Motors has also revealed the engine options for this SUV.
During the unveiling of the MG Hector’s iSmart connected car infotainment system, the company also revealed to us the official images of the SUV for the first time. In addition to this, MG Motors also confirmed with the engine options for the Hector SUV.
As it was rumoured, that the Hector will be base on the Baojun 530SUV, from the images showcased it can be seen that the Hector is almost identical to the same.
Upfront the Hector gets an LED headlight unit which is situated towards the lower end of the front bumper and on top, it gets slim LED DRL’s. Also at the centre, it gets fancy mesh grille with the MG Motors logo at the centre.
Both the front and rear bumper gets faux skid plates and this SUV also runs on diamond cut alloy wheels. At the rear, it also gets a split roof spoiler and it also holds a light bar which connects all the way to the tail lamps unit.
Coming to the mechanical part, MG Motors will powering the Hector with three engine options. The petrol model will be powered with a 1.5 litre turbocharged that produces 143 bhp of power and 250Nm of torque, while the other engine option will also get a 48V mild hybrid system along with the petrol motor.
This may have the start and stop system and regenerative braking. Whereas the diesel model will be powered with a 2.0-litre Multijet unit which will be sourced from FCA that also powers the Jeep Compass and the Tata Harrier.
This engine is capable of producing 173 bhp of power and 350Nm of twist and. Both the engine options will be mated with a six-speed manual gearbox and DCT is also expected.
In terms of modern tech and features, MG Motors will be equipping the Hector with a Harman Infinity audio system, a six-way power adjustable driver’s seat, a 360-degree camera, push-button start, keyless entry, cruise control and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
In addition to this, the iSmart infotainment unit revealed will get connectivity features such as AI-powered Voice Assist and pre-loaded apps.
During the unveiling, MG Motors also confirmed that the Hector will be launched by the month of June 2019. Once launched the MG Hector will lock its horns with the Jeep Compass, Volkswagen Tiguan, Hyundai Tucson and the Tata Harrier. The price range during the launch is expected to be in the Rs 15 lakh to Rs 20 lakh (Ex-Showroom) bracket

Citroen to launch the C5 Aircross in the Indian market by 2020
PSA Group to re-enter the Indian Automotive Market with the Citroen brand.
Citroen flagship SUV- the C5 Aircross will be first launched in the year 2020.
Following it, there will be other new models to be launched from the year 2021.
Dealer Partner Live Tour to commence from the 1st of July 2019.
A Lot about the PSA Group has been in talks recently. The group is going to re-enter the Indian market with the Citroen brand. Now it has been confirmed that Citroen will launch its first product the C5 Aircross in Indian by the end of the year 2020.
In addition to this, the company has even said that they have plans to launch other new models from the year 2021. Citroen has also revealed that they will commence with the Dealer-Partner Live Tour from the 1st of July 2019.
PSA Group along with a joint venture from CK Birla Group have set up a manufacturing unit at the Tiruvallur and the C5 Aircross will be built in that factory. The Citroen C5 Aircross will be based on the PSA’s EMP2 platform. Hence the C5 Aircross measures 4510mm in length. 1705 mm tall, 1860mm wide and it will get a wheelbase of 2730mm.
In terms of aesthetics and design the C5 Aircross will feature a split grille along with split headlight units at its end up front. On top of this headlight unit, it will also feature two LED DRL’s (Daytime Running Lights).
In addition to this, the front fascia will also feature a dual tone bumper uplifting the overall look of the SUV. moving towards the side profile, the eye-catching element here is the dual tone alloy wheels and the chunky body cladding all around the side giving it a muscular look.
At the rear, the C5 Aircross features a wraparound tail light unit along with dual tone bumper which holds an integrated exhaust system giving it a sporty look.
For the Indian market, Citroen will only power the C5 with a single engine option. This will be a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine that is capable of churning out 130 bhp of power. This oil burner will be paired to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
As the C5 Aircross is Citroen’s flagship SUV, this will help build a brand name in the Indian market. The C5 Aircross will hence be a brand builder and it will be fitted with a lot of high tech features which could make it pricey.
But this will indeed help to bring in other new models in the Indian market by the year 2021. It is expected that the Citroen C5 Aircross will be retailed in the Rs 30 lakh price range. Hence it will lock its horns with the Skoda Kodiaq, Volkswagen Tiguan and the Mahindra Alturas G4.

Toyota will be updating the interiors for the Fortuner and Innova Crysta
Toyota will be tweaking the interiors of the Fortuner and Innova Crysta.
These models will be retailed from the next week.
Also, the official pricing for the same will be revealed on the 8th of April 2019
Toyota is now working on another update for the Fortuner and the Innova Crysta. These minor updates will most probably be inside the cabin. According to some media reports, we get to know that Toyota will officially announce the pricing of the refreshed Fortuner and the Innova Crysta on the 8th of April 2019.
Inside the cabin of the updated Fortuner will be the inclusion of perforated seats and it will be equipped with better and good quality speakers hence updating the audio system as well.
Also, Toyota will include hearing rejection glass as well, In addition to this, the Toyota Fortuner 4WD (Manual Transmission) and (Automatic Transmission) models will now get a new Chamois interior scheme as an option, whereas the standard option will be of the dark brown scheme.
These changes will also be seen on Fortuner 2WD Automatic transmission models as well but the 2WD Manual Transmission models will miss out on it.
On the other hand, the updated Toyota Innova Crysta will also be available with heat rejection glass. The cabin will also be equipped with USB charging points and the audio system will be upgraded with better quality speakers.
These changes will be seen on the models of the VX and ZX Manual Transmission and the ZX Automatic transmission. Whereas the ZX Manual Transmission and ZX Automatic Transmission models will get additionals new Ivory shade in the paint scheme as well.
These will be the changes offered inside the cabin, there won't be any addition of equipment also there won't be any changes under the hood. There isn't any word about the pricing from Toyota, but it can be expected that the refreshed models will be priced a bit higher than the ongoing models.
