Should Fiat Launch its New Pulse Compact SUV in India?
Should Fiat brand make a comeback in India with its new Pulse Compact SUV launched in Brazil?
Fiat has been absent from India for a long time and by that I mean the Fiat brand. While Jeep and Citroen has taken over as the main brands by which all new products would be launched in India, we think the Fiat brand name also has recall in India. Thus the new compact SUV which has been unveiled by Fiat for other markets could make sense in India.
It is called the Pulse and it is a compact SUV rivaling the likes of the Hyundai Creta. It is a good looking SUV with aggressive styling and large headlamps along with wheel-arches and cladding plus roof rails of course. In terms of engines it would have a 120hp turbo petrol which is a 1.0 unit and that will have enough I am sure along with further making sense for India. The Pulse would also have modern day features such as connected tech, LED headlamps, touch screen and more. The interiors are also expected to be spacious with a long wheelbase which means it can compete with the Creta and the Seltos head on in this department too along with having a big boot as well. Alongside the turbo petrol there would be a 1.3l naturally aspirated petrol engine as well. Fiat is not the main focus for India at the moment but Stellantis group should take a rethink for that as this SUV does seem like a good idea for our market. The stylish looks, features and trademark Fiat dynamics will hold appeal. As of now we can expect a 7 seater Jeep Compass based SUV and a compact SUV for India from Jeep brand along with the Citroen C3 Aircross compact SUV expected to be launched by December,2021
