News of the week: Upcoming Renault Kwid Facelift spotted testing

Once again a test mule of the upcoming Renault Kwid was spotted testing. According to the latest spy images floating all over the internet, we get to know that this model has been equipped with an LED taillight unit.
Other spy images also revealed that the upcoming Kwid will take inspiration from ye Kwid K-ZE in terms of aesthetics and design. The front fascia will feature a vertically stacked LED Daytime Running Light and the turn indicators will be placed next to the grille. On the other hand, the halogen headlamp unit will be placed on the bumper. In between the headlamp unit, we will see a blacked-out air dam.
As of now, details about the interior and the cabin is unknown but what we are expecting is that Renault will be updating the infotainment unit and will also offer a new upholstery as well. Under the hood of the upcoming Kwid will be the same 800cc and 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol units. The only update it will receive is that both the powerhouses will be compatible with the BS-VI emission norms. In addition to this, both petrol engines will be coupled with the same AMT unit and a five-speed manual gearbox as an option.

Maruti Suzuki will soon be launching the XL6 in India

India’s most beloved car manufacturer will be launching a new product in the Indian market. Yes, we are talking about the most awaited Maruti Suzuki XL6. This will be the next premium MPV that the car manufacturer will offer to the Indian market.
As per some media reports, we at MyNewCar get to know that Maruti Suzuki will be launching the XL6 on the 21st of August 2019. The Indian car manufacturer has already commenced with the booking for the premium MPV from the 9th of August 2019.
Maruti Suzuki will be retailing the XL6 from their premium Nexa Dealership all over the nation. This premium MPV will be available in two trim levels- Zeta Manual/Auto and Alpha Manual/Auto. It will also be available in six different paint schemes- metallic premium silver, metallic magma grey, prime auburn red, pearl brave khaki, pearl arctic white and nexa blue. In addition to this, the MPV will be available in the six-seat configuration with luxurious captain seats in the middle row.
Under the hood of the XL6 will be K15, BS-VI compliant petrol mill that will also be available with Maruti’s Smart Hybrid Technology. In terms of the safety kit, the XL6 will be available with the standard safety features such as front dual airbags, seat belt reminder system for the front passengers, speed alert system, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat mounts and rear parking sensors. In addition to this, it will also get hill hold assist, ESP (Electronic Stability Program) and cruise control.

Hyundai Grand i10 Nios based compact sedan’s test mule spotted

Hyundai will be launching a compact sedan that will be based on the Grand i10 Nios.

Recently a test mule was spotted conducting test runs. It was a compact sedan that seemed to based on the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios. Also, some media reports suggest that, once this product is launched it will replace the Xcent which is being sold in the Indian market.
Hyundai will be offering a new name for this compact sedan. It is said that Hyundai will not discontinue the Xcent completely. It will be only available for the taxi aggregators in the lower-trim models. This approach will be better as it will cater to both the needs of the taxi aggregators and the young and dynamic crowd.
From the spy shots we get to know that this compact sedan features a similar front fascia of that from the Grand i10 Nios, in addition to this, it gets a wide cascading grille, boomerang-shaped LED Daytime Running Lights, projector headlamp unit and an all-new front bumper. Moving towards the side profile, this compact sedan gets low window line and the C-Pillar s offered with a coupe-like design. At the rear, this vehicle is offered with split LED tail lights a new bumper and which also holds the number plate.
As of now, nothing about the cabin is visible in the spy pictures, But we expect that Hyundai will offer the same interiors as that seen on the Grand i10 Nios. Hence we could see that this compact sedan will be equipped with a floating touchscreen infotainment unit, ARKAMYS sound system, automatic climate control, a large MID and Hyundai Blue Link connectivity system.
The Korean car manufacturer will be powering this compact sedan with a 1.2-litre petrol and diesel engines that will be compatible with the BS-VI emission norms. Both the engines will be mated with a five-speed manual transmission and a Smart Auto AMT unit.
We at MyNewCar are expecting that Hyundai will retail this compact Sedan in a price tag ranging from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 9 lakh (Ex-Showroom, India). Once launched, this new compact sedan will lock its horns with more force with the Honda Amaze, Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Tata Tigor and the Ford Aspire in the Indian market.

New spy images of the upcoming Tata Nexon facelift model has been floating on the internet. According to the spy images, we get to know that this compact SUV is being offered with a whole new front fascia. In addition to this, Tata Motors will also be adding new features in the cabin and it will also bring in the BS-VI compliant engines.
Having a look at the spy images we can say that, Tata will be offering the upcoming Nexon with a new single slat front grille, a projector headlamp unit that has integrated LED Daytime Running Lights. In addition to this, the bonnet is redesigned to give it a beefed-up look and it also gets a new air dam and a pair of new fog light units. Coming to the cabin, we expect that Tata Motors will bring in the cruise control feature for this compact SUV.
Under the hood of the upcoming Nexon will be the BS-VI compliant 1.2-litre Revotron petrol mill and 1.5-litre Revotorq diesel unit. The power figures from both the engines will be unchanged and it will also be available with the same five-speed manual and AMT unit.
Tata Motors will be unveiling this upcoming Nexon Facelift at the 2020 Indian Auto Expo. We could also expect the launch following the unveiling as well. Once launched the Tata Nexon will be competing with the Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford Eco Sport and the Mahindra XUV 300.
