VW Launch Polo Turbo at 7L - Cheaper vs i10, Altroz Turbo
Volkswagen Launches Polo TSI Turbo at 6.99 Lakh - Cheaper than i10 Nios, Altroz Turbo & Vento TSI Turbo at 8.69 Lakh
Volkswagen has launched a special edition of the 2021 Polo and 2021 Vento called as the Turbo Edition in India. This new special edition is based on the Comfortline TSI variant of the Polo which gets features like an auto ac amongst others. Further changes include a glossy black spoiler, ORVM caps, fender badge and new seat covers.
The best deal about these two cars is the pricing of course since the new 2021 Polo TSI Turbo Edition is priced at Rs 6.99 lakh and the 2021 Vento TSI Turbo Edition is priced at Rs 8.69 lakh. Both the engines get the 6-speed manual transmission which mated to 1.0l TSI engine with a power and torque of 81 kW@5000-5500 rpm and 175Nm@1750-4000 rpm respectively. The Turbo edition is available on all colors as offered on the Polo and Vento.
The Polo with this attractive pricing is even cheaper than the likes of the Hyundai Nios Turbo with the 1.0l turbo petrol. The Nios Turbo is Rs 7.8 lakh and the Altroz iTurbo starts at Rs 7.7 lakh.
While the Polo is smaller in terms of space over the Altroz and Nios plus does not offer features like rear ac vents or a push button start/stop feature, the excellent build quality and dynamics of the Polo means that Polo TSI Turbo Edition is a great value for money deal.
This special edition Polo and Vento makes them the cheapest cars to offer a turbo petrol plus also having a decent features list like climate control. The Polo especially offers very good value while having a price which is around the top-end Maruti Swift and more. The Polo has its USP with its brilliant handling and the manual gearbox plus the build quality, for which German cars are famous for. While it has been around for many years, the Polo still remains a great value car and this Turbo edition only makes this an enticing prospect. If you like driving then the Polo Turbo Edition makes for a great buy in terms of driving enjoyment and also in terms of having a safe, German car for much less money than other hatchbacks!
In terms of the Vento the only competition is the Skoda Rapid while cars like the Hyundai Verna have their turbo petrol variants being much more expensive. The Maruti Ciaz and the Honda City amongst others do not have a turbo petrol engine in their line-up at all. The Vento then has more space and with the turbo petrol, gives you additional power along with the ease of use that a turbo petrol has over a naturally aspirated engine.
