Hyundai Alcazar vs Toyota Innova Crysta Specs - MYNEWCAR
The battle for big three row cars has already started and while the Alcazar from Hyundai is yet to be revealed some details have started to come in already. The Alcazar as already reported by us would come with a bigger 2.0 petrol engine instead of a 1.5l from the Creta. Along with that the SUV will come with more luxuries plus comfort. So the current long standing king in this space has been the Innova Crysta so the Alcazar would obviously be interested in getting a slice of that pie as well. Here is then our comparison of the Innova Crysta and the Alcazar.
The Innova Crysta is a big car with a length of 4735mm and while the Alcazar would be bigger, it would be shorter than the huge Innova. The Alcazar would be longer than the Creta though. The side length of the Alcazar has a quarter glass and is of course an SUV in design while the Innova is an MPV. The Innova looks imposing due to its size which the Alcazar does not have though. Post the facelift the Innova Crysta has new headlamps and a grille which makes it look premium. The Alcazar is an SUV and comes with its own design which is Creta like of course. It is perhaps more sporty.
Post the facelift the Innova Crysta has its features list being increased. It has leather seats, LED headlamps, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, rear view camera, front and rear parking sensors plus more. However the Hyundai edges ahead with lots more with a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging for rear passengers in the 6-seater, connected tech, air purifier, Bose audio system, ventilated seats and more.
Both the Innova Crysta and the Alcazar have diesel and petrol engines. The Innova Crysta has a 2.7 litre petrol which makes 166hp and a 150hp 2.4 diesel. Both engines either have a 5-speed manual or a torque-converter automatic. The Alcazar has a 2.0 petrol with 152hp while it will also get a 115hp diesel. Both engines will get a torque converter automatic and a manual gearbox.
The Innova Crysta is bigger and more comfort oriented but also would be pricier than the Alcazar. The base petrol is Rs 16.6 lakh while the top-end diesel auto is Rs 24.3 lakh. The Alcazar would be expected to start from Rs 12 lakh and go on till Rs 19/20 lakh. The Alcazar then would be a cheaper alternative and while it may not have the space, it is more for those who want a practical but also feature loaded SUV.
