Ford Freestyle Overview
The Ford Freestyle is cross-hatch version of the Figo but Ford calls it a Compact Urban Vehicle (CUV). Its does get raised ride height along with wider track width. The Freestyle is India’s first CUV and it will also debuts Ford’s new 1.2 litre petrol three cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine along with Ford’s new five speed manual gearbox. Along with this it hosts man modern features and technology and also gets many customisation offers for every variant. This is just the car for users who want the feel of and SUV in a form of a hatchback and do not want to dig deep in their pockets. We expect Ford to price the Freestyle between Rs 6 lakh to Rs 8 lakh.

Ford Freestyle Exterior
The front fascia gets a ‘V’ bonnet with some sharp cut line at the sides. The front grille gets a sharp honeycomb design and towards both its ends sits the smoked headlight lamps on each side. While below it, Ford has offered this CUV with C-Shaped fog light surrounded with some black cladding and it also comes with a skid plate to protect the engine. In all the smoked headlight night and the C-shaped fog lamps goes well in contrast with the Blacked Out ORVM’s which also has integrated turn signal lights. All over the body of the Freestyle Ford has offered body cladding which gives this CUV a muscular and off-road look. In addition to this, the Ford Freestyle runs on 15-inch wheels which is larger than the standard Figo and it also has a 190mm ride height. The ride height is higher than 16mm in comparison with the standard Figo and helps the Freestyle to tackle those large potholes, speed breakers and will also help in for some fun and light off-roading. Moving towards the top, the Freestyle gets roof rails which can withstand a weight of 50kgs.Customers can also choose between a wrap for the roof or racing stripes which runs from the bonnet towards the roof and the rear end of the car. While, at the rear, the Freestyle comes equipped with a sporty spoiler with integrated LED stop light and a LED tail light unit. It also gets rear wipers and a skid plate at the rear. Ford is offering the Indian customers to choose from six mootone colour options for the Freestyle and they are- Canyon Ridge, Smoke Grey, Moondust Silver, White Gold, Oxford White and Absolute Black In terms of exterior design, the Ford Freestyle has the looks of what could be the next facelift of the Figo
Ford Freestyle Interior
The cabin of the Ford Freestyle takes inspiration from its elder sibling the Ford EcoSport. The Freestyle will launch in four variants starting from Ambiente, Trend, Titanium and Titanium+. The Freestyle gets a dual tone brown and black interior theme which gives this CUV a much vibrant feel. At the centre console is 6.5 inch touch screen infotainment system and it also comes with Ford's latest SYNC3 unit which is available on the top trims such as the Titanium and Titanium +. This infotainment system is also compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and it also gets a Bluetooth connectivity. Speaking about comfort, the Freestyle ges automatic climate control, and the driver seats are larger than the one on the Figo.
The storage space in the Freestyle is pretty good with the front door pockets having massive space. It also gets two cup holders at the front between the seats and it also gets rubber panel which holds your phone which is placed near the centre console. The Freestyle gets two usb ports at the lower end of the centre console and it also gets 12V charging port. Talking about the rear, there is lot of legroom and it doesn't feel cramped. Also the windows are large which gives a better view outside. Speaking about storage space, it isn't massive as the ones on the front door panels and it also get only one bottle holder at the rear. The Boot space is same as the Figo which is 257 litre which can accommodate enough luggage for your weekend get away.

Technology and Features:
For utmost comfort of the Freestyle, it gets automatic Climate control system. It also comes with Ford’s MyKey function which allows the user to pre-set the maximum volume of the speakers and also to set speed limits. Other modern features include push button start, automatic headlamps, rain sensing wipers and keyless entry.
Ford Freestyle Engine
The Ford Freestyle is powered with a new 1.2-litre three cylinder naturally aspirated petrol mill which is part of the Dragon series engines. This engine is matted with Ford’s new five speed manual gearbox and it is capable of producing 96bhp of power and 120Nm of twist. It also gets a 1.5 litre diesel engine that powers the Figo, Aspire and the EcoSport. This mill is also matted with Ford’s new five speed manual gearbox and it produces 100bhp of power and 215Nm of torque.
Ford Freestyle Safety
Ford has offered the Freestyle with front dual airbags along with ABS and EBD as standard right from the base variant. While the Mid variant Trend trim gets additional Hill-start Assist, ESP and traction control as a safety package. The Titanium and Titanium + trims of the Freestyle gets additional four airbags making a total of six airbags and an Emergency Assist system.
