In the month of April, Suzuki has unveiled the new generation Ertiga MPV in Indonesia. This is the second generation Ertiga and it will soon be coming to India some around the festive season.
As of now, Maruti Suzuki is undergoing test runs of this new generation Ertiga and one such model has been spotted testing. The model spotted testing was an automatic petrol variant and it gets new and fresh cosmetic updates on the exterior as well on the inside of the cabin along with new features update. There also news that this new generation Ertiga will come powered with an all new 1.5 litre diesel motor.
Aesthetically, at the front, the upcoming Ertiga gets a new design grille and now comes equipped with projector headlights. Along with this, Maruti Suzuki has given this MPV a new design front bumper and LED Daytime Running Lights and LED stop lamps which are high mounted.
Inside, the new generation Ertiga is offered with dual tone interiors, the dashboard gets some updates with large horizontal air con vents. It will also hold a touchscreen infotainment system , twin pod instrument cluster, three spoke steering wheel and for added comfort it will come equipped with automatic climate control.
Powering the second generation Ertiga will bee new 1.5 litre petrol mill that is capable of generating 101 bhp power. With this, the new petrol engine will replace the previous 1,4 litre engine. As we said, that there are also news that this upcoming MPV will also get a 1.5 litre diesel motor which will be replaced the existing 1.3 litre motor. The model spotted testing was an automatic petrol variant and by the spy shots we come to know that this is four speed automatic gearbox. In addition to this, Maruti will also provide a six speed manual transmission which will be replaced by the existing five speed manual gearbox.
