Back in November 2016 Skoda had launched the updated Rapid in the Indian market. With the launch of this sedan in the Indian market, it directly competed with cars such as the Honda City and Volkswagen Vento. After its launch in the April 2017 Skoda added features such a reverse parking camera and equipped it with 16-inch alloy wheels to the Style variant respectively. Just as we have entered the new year and it almost the end of January, Skoda has silently the updated the Rapid Style variant.
The new update is done to the safety kit which now gets four airbags as standard. Previously this variant was offered with front dual airbags. There front passenger and driver side airbags was standard in all its variants. The Skoda Rapid Style Variant now gets a side airbags along with the standard front dual airbags. With this addition, the sedan is now more safer in comparison with the older model.
Apart from this, there aren't any changes. Aesthetically it is still the same and is similar to the 2017 model as well as the interiors remain the same. Mechanically it still remain the same and the sedan is continued to be powered with a 1.6 litre petrol and 1.5 litre TDI engine. These mills are coupled with a five speed manual gearbox, where as for the automatic transmission the petrol mill gets six speed automatic DSG and the diesel engine gettomatic DSG gearbox.
